The 6.5 PRC is an excellent cartridge for both long range shooting and hunting. Its increased case capacity enables velocities up to 80 m/s or 262 fps faster than the 6.5 Creedmoor or 6 555 SE. By design the 6.5 PRC cartridge case features a longer throat enabling the use of todays popular high ballistic coefficient or HBC projectiles for long-range competitions. For reloading the 6.5 PRC case is a good match with relatively slow burning rifle powder types.
