Its patented reverse indexing pawl allows for easier loading and unloading while the traditional beveled cylinder simplifies holstering. The transfer bar mechanism and loading gate interlock provide an unparalleled measure of security against accidental discharge. The Vaquero also has a traditional western-style hand-filling grip and a cold hammer-forged barrel. SASS models have black checkered grips featuring the SASS logo Montado-style hammer and a high-gloss stainless steel metal finish. This revolver is sold as a two-gun consecutive serial number set with “SASS” prefix shipped together in same commemorative case. It must be purchased with SS# 69517.
